• piedi proporzionati
• braccia lunghe
• mani e piedi delicati
• segni circolari sotto la pianta dei piedi
• occhi e capelli neri
• ciglia come quelle di una mucca
• pori della pelle ben delineati
• nessuna cicatrice, ferite o perdite di sangue
• una bella ombra
• cosce come un daino
• petto come un leone
• collo come una conchiglia
• organo sessuale non sporgente
• seni poco appariscenti
• lingua piccola
• guance come quelle di un leone
• corpo come un albero di banano
• venti denti, e dentatura perfetta
• pelle chiara e profumata
• voce morbida e limpida

Nepal: Kumari, the goddess-girl venerated by the people can presage luck or misfortune, is considered the embodiment of the goddess Durga mother of the universe, the force that regulates the creation, maintenance and destruction of the world. The term "Kumari" derives from Sanskrit and means "virgin".
In Nepal the most important are the Royal Kumari of Kathmandu and Patan.
The Kumari is chosen through a rigorous selection process among the girls aged between 3 and 7 years of the Buddhist castes of the Newari families, the Shakya resident in Kathmandu, the same one to which the Buddha belonged. Although chosen among Buddhists, it is equally revered by Buddhists and Hindus.
In Patan it is chosen from among the Bajracharya clan. The choice is made following a particular horoscope and on the basis of 32 attributes of perfection such as:
• proportionate feet
• long arms
• delicate hands and feet
• circular marks under the soles of the feet
• eyes and black hair
• eyelashes like those of a cow
• well-defined skin pores
• no scarring, wounds or blood loss
• a nice shadow
• thighs like a deer
• chest like a lion
• neck like a shell
• non-protruding sexual organ
• inconspicuous breasts
• small tongue
• cheeks like those of a lion
• body like a banana tree
• twenty teeth, and perfect teeth
• clear and perfumed skin
• soft and clear voice
To assess her strength of character, during the Indian festival of Dashain, or "black night", the young candidates will have to sleep in a dark room between the heads of goats and 108 buffaloes sacrificed in honor of the goddess Kali, with men disguised as demons trying to scare her. The girl who remains calm and unperturbed will be the chosen one. From that moment on he will live in the residence called 'Kumari Ghar', isolated from the rest of the world.
In the past, small Kumari did not receive any education because they were thought to be omniscient, since 2008 the Nepalese Supreme Court has ruled that Kumari can also receive an education, generally entrusted to a guardian. Only in some celebratory events, will she leave the palace, sitting on the royal throne, unable to touch the ground, she will be transported by men of her own caste, among hundreds of faithful. He will always dress in red, will curl his hair in a high nest (as a symbol of the dome of a temple) and will always have the eye of chakchuu, or "fire eye" drawn in the center of the forehead as a symbol of his special powers of perception and divination. Kumari cannot wear shoes, her feet are sacred and pure, only devotees can touch them.
The Goddess leaves Kumari at the time of the first menstruation, then the frantic search for the new incarnation starts again. In Kathmandu the current Royal Kumari is Matina Shakya, who ascended the divine throne at only three years old, on October 7, 2008. She is the first Kumari to be named in times of Maoist government and without monarchy, so she will kneel in front of her. president of the state and not the king as before. In the city of Patan, the current official Kumari, Unika Bajracharya, 7 years old chosen on April 9, 2014 and the 12-year-old ex Kumari, Samita Bajracharya, (2010-2014) live in the same Monastery in the Kumari Bahal.
In the city of Patan, two Kumari live together: the current and the sixty-four year old Dhana Kumari Bajracharya. Born in 1950, she was Kumari for 32 years, continues to practice ancient rituals, having never had her menstrual cycle.
All the former Kumari in Nepal receive an annuity of about 6000 rupees - 45 euros.
According to popular tradition the ex Kumari is destined not to find a husband: if a man tried to marry her he would be destined to die within six months. In reality today this belief has been overcome and the Kumari in many cases marry without problems.
